What Is Edge of the Ethernities?
Edge of the Ethernities is the big summer set of 2025 and the conclusion to the current storyline. The story unfolds at the edge of the multiverse – where space and time blur. Wizards describes the set itself as a “space opera” with a completely new aesthetic style and epic depth.
Story & Artwork
The story takes place in the Sothera Galaxy – a system full of rifts in space and reality. It is told across 11 main chapters and five bonus stories, written in part by Seth Dickinson. Visually, expect a mix of sci-fi elements, futuristic Kavu creatures, and space fantasy with cosmic-style Planeswalkers.
New Mechanics & Card Types
Spacecraft – Legendary Spaceships
For the first time, there are legendary spacecraft cards that can be charged with creatures and even used as Commander – a major innovation for the Commander format.
