Release: When is Pokémon Wachsendes Chaos coming out?
The worldwide Release of Pokémon Wachsendes Chaos is officially scheduled for May 22, 2026. This makes the set one of the most important releases in the Pokémon TCG calendar for 2026.
As is usual with new expansions, pre-orders are expected to open early, and popular products may sell out quickly. It’s especially worth keeping an eye out early for sets with new mechanics and popular Pokémon.
Part of the Mega-Entwicklung series
Mega-Entwicklung – Wachsendes Chaos is part of the new Mega-Entwicklung series in the Pokémon Trading card game. This series brings back a key gameplay element that many fans already know from earlier Generationen, but with modern updates.
The focus is on the so-called Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. These cards are among the strongest in the game, but they also come with a clear risk.
What makes Mega Evolution Pokémon ex so special?
- Very high HP and powerful attacks
- Major impact on gameplay
- Ideal for aggressive and controlling decks
- When Knocked Out, your opponent takes three Prize cards
This last point is what makes the cards strategically interesting. You get enormous power, but also take on greater risk. This creates an exciting balance between offense and defense for Players.
Story and setting: Chaos in the city
As things stand, the set’s theme revolves around a city increasingly consumed by chaos. At the center of it all is Mega-Floette-ex, which seems to be causing unrest. At the same time, Mega-Quajutsu-ex steps in and faces the situation alongside other powerful Pokémon.
This setting provides an exciting foundation that is likely to be reflected in the cards. Collectors in particular can look forward to atmospheric illustrations and striking visual motifs.
These Pokémon are in the spotlight
Some key Pokémon from Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising have already been officially confirmed. The spotlight is especially on:
Mega-Quajutsu-ex
